Doris A. Kaelin

Since joining Murray & Murray, Ms. Kaelin has been active in the firm’s bankruptcy and insolvency practice. Ms. Kaelin has represented numerous Chapter 11 debtors, including Andronico’s Markets, Inc., ComUnity Lending, Incorporated, Impeva Labs, Inc., Pacific Metro, LLC (fka The Thomas Kinkade Company), and RedEnvelope, Inc. Ms. Kaelin has also represented companies in Chapter 7 case proceedings as well as informal proceedings (including wind down and dissolution), and she has represented assignees in an assignment for the benefit of creditors.

Ms. Kaelin received her Bachelor of Science Degree, with Great Distinction, from San Jose State University in 1987, and her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1992. Ms. Kaelin is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Prior to joining Murray & Murray, Ms. Kaelin practiced in the area of general business law with an emphasis on debtor-creditor rights. From 1995 - 1997, Ms. Kaelin served as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable James R. Grube (Ret.), United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of California.

Ms. Kaelin resides in Santa Cruz with her husband, Steve. She enjoys spending time with their Akitas, gardening, running and mountain bike riding.
